Features Overview
Our vision for Life Groups at NBCOC from our longstanding mission statement: "Growing Together - Being the Body of Christ, Inviting Others to know Jesus. ” We believe that all Life Groups should live out the rhythms of this mission statement as a reflection of the Gospel message.
Life Group leader training
This training provides a foundation to launching and sustaining a healthy group. In addition, it provides insights in leading a life group within the framework of NBCOC mission for life groups.
MARGIN
Sometimes it seems like the only way to keep up with all the demands on our lives is to run at maximum capacity—and then some. But there is another way…one where we have room to breathe and space to respond to what life brings our way.
BAGGAGE CHECK
When life weighs you down because of past experiences. It almost seems like we are carrying not only our baggage but others too. Learn how God can help us release, restore and renew our spirits.
40 DAYS WITH JESUS
We worry about so many things but outside of relationship with God we find ourselves dry and empty or we could say hungry and thirsty. Jesus offers us living water just as he did the woman at the well. This is a 40 day study but the material can be used on a weekly basis.
LOVING GOD
When an expert in the law asked Jesus what the greatest commandment is, Jesus gave a clear and simple answer:
"'Love the Lord your God..."
But what does the Great Commandment look like on the ground, in our day-to-day lives? And can we even come close to living it out?
THE PATH STUDY SERIES
Each study includes an introduction to the weekly session topic for the facilitator, options, and Scripture focus with text and narrative explanation that drives the weekly meeting. Also included each week are discussion questions and group exercises that reinforce the primary teaching points of each topic.

The friends you have help determine the quality and direction of your life. Where are your friendships leading you? Come learn what the Bible says about Friending.
DISCOVERY I
Daily bible reading with devotional questions. This is a quarterly series.
FEARLESS
How has depending on your own sufficiency or focusing on your weaknesses, kept you from experiencing God’s strength? What risk does God want you to take in order to experience His strength through your weakness?
DISCIPLESHIP
We grow in Christ as we seek him together. Jesus' own pattern of disciple-making was to be intimately involved with others and allow life to rub against life. By gathering in twos or threes to study the Bible and encourage one another, we most closely follow Jesus' example with the twelve disciples.
10 COMPONENTS FOR THE CHAPTER STUDY BIBLE
Provide a copy of the study sheet to everyone in you group. They are to use it while reading at home before arriving.
This study sheet can be used for every chapter study you conduct. Simply read a chapter of the bible, and ask yourself or your life group all, several or a few of the questions to draw out discussion.
SPIRITUAL GIFTS
Online Gifts Discovery With the easy-to-use online assessment, your LG members will discover their own spiritual gifts and better understand how God has uniquely wired them to serve.

UNCOMMON
The Bible is packed with examples of how God compels His people to take action. This study will look at five examples. God compelled Moses in unpredictable ways to lead His people in participating in the special relationship God wanted. Through an old spy (Caleb), God demonstrated His requirement of obedience in taking action. God compelled Joshua, the young leader chosen to replace Moses, to lead in ways that honored God. Through a lowly prostitute, God provided for His people.
KALEO
1 Peter 2:21 (NIV), "To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps," is the foundation of this study series, Kaleo. Join us as we learn God's call on each of our lives and how to be set apart and ready to follow His divine calling.
