WELCOME TO LIFE-GROUPS

The best discipleship is group discipleship. Jesus practiced it, spending much of His time with three to twelve of his disciples. People who are developed in the context of a small group experience benefit from the wisdom and discernment of many group members, are able to use their gifts in a safe and encouraging setting, can have needs met and prayed for by several brothers and sisters in Christ, and can be encouraged toward team ministry. Thus we “bear one another’s burdens” and engage in mutual ministry in the body of Christ.

We welcome all to become involved as we learn and serve the Lord together. Studies reveal that members who participate in small groups are twice as active in church as the national average. May God bless.

8 Benefits of being in a life-group:

  • You will understand the Bible better in a small group setting.
  • You will begin to really feel like part of God's family.
  • Prayer will become more meaningful to you.
  • You will be able to handle stress and pressure better.
  • You will have a natural way to share Christ with friends, relatives and work associates.
  • You will develop leadership skills you never knew you had!
  • You will deepen your understanding of worship.
  • You will be a New Testament Christian!

Locations of Life-Groups will be available soon after our August 2007 planning and training session.

EQUIPPING MINISTRY

The Equipping Ministry (EM) at New Braunfels Church of Christ is helping lead our body in a different way of being the church. The intent of EM is to help people find their niche in the Kingdom of God, both in terms of relationship and ministry. We ask all our new members to help us by filling out a "Talent/Gifts Assesment". The underlying premise of this is assesment is that, as each member understands their unique spiritual design, uses that design in God's work, and is fed and nourished in faith-enriching relationships and community, we will more effectively impact the world for Christ.

Upon completing the assesment worksheets, we believe you will find your opportunities to serve expand by identifying additional God given talents you may not have thought of before.

MONTHLY ELDER BRUNCH

Each month, the Elders/Shepherds of the congregation invite our new members to join them in a Sunday morning brunch during our bible class hour. This is an opportunity to meet the leaders of the congregation who have been entrusted to shepherd and serve this body of Christ. To get to know them better, during this brunch, the shepherds will share small detials about themselves and their family and the Equipping Ministry will also share a few moments with you to familiarize you with the Gifts Assesments that will be coming your way.

NB 101

Every other month, we hold a four-week class to inform our new members of our everything you would want to know about the New Braunfels church. In this class, we inform our new families of our vision, mission statement, ministry structure and key ministry leaders, christain service opportunities and more.  It is an opportunity for our families to become better acquinted with the New Braunfels Church.
